We've been doing this a long time....well, some of us at least!  It's so easy to forget to take care of ourselves-and our hands. And I mean, really, really take care of your hands! We spend everyday caring for others' hands, but we tend to forget about our own.  Here's a few tips:

  • use mild soap-we are washing constantly.

  • wear gloves when you can

  • keep them warm-even if you live in California it gets cold! Buy yourself some hand warmers or pretty gloves. The ones from "Of A Kind" are cool: http://ofakind.com/editions/1548-DONEGAL-KNIT-FINGERLESS-GLOVES

  • use cream and cotton gloves at night to keep them soft. Restoration Hardware's "No Crack" is great.! http://www.restorationhardware.com/search/results.jsp?query=hand+cream&hidden=&go.x=0&go.y=0

  • don't bite your nails!

  • treat yourself and get a manicure-but beware who you allow to touch your hands-don't let the over-cut your cuticles.
